Running Returns to Horsfall from 5 January

Running returns to Horsfall from Tuesday, 5 January 2021. Due to lockdown regulations, you are welcome to go for a run in socially-distanced pairs as part of your once-a-day exercise. You can meet at 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday evening at the Cemetery Road stadium gates, meet your pair, and then go for a run.

When lockdown ends, sessions on the track will start again, at 7pm till 9pm on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as in the past. Two main things to note:

1) The track itself has been thoroughly cleaned, for the first time in decades, with thanks to Horsfall stadium. You will see lots of other work having taken place there in the past 6-9 months: a new artificial pitch, a new memorial garden (almost complete), and improvements all round since the stadium has taken over the lease from the city council.

2) With the covid situation, it is important (a) to register with the head coach when you arrive, for track-and-trace purposes; (b) that you follow the covid protocols, which are based on our guidelines for Tier 3 by England Athletics, and written in conjunction with the safety officer at Horsfall.
