The club supports through its events and activities the following charities:

  • The Firefighters Charity through West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service; and
  • The Horsfall Community Trust (THCT), whose subsidiary is Horsfall Community Stadium CIC. Bradford Airedale AC is a recognised anchor user at Horsfall alongside Bradford PA FC and West Bowling ARLFC. The trust is registered with the Charity Commission and its objectives focus on sport and the community. Work is organised by part-time paid staff who have appropriate qualifications. Examples of this community work include:
    • Providing gardening opportunities for residents with dementia in a care home
    • Working with Bradford Youth Services to encourage young people to learn how to cycle
    • Providing a structured course for young people who have been bullied and lacked confidence (one student gained a national award)
    • Working with young people on Homewood Estate to give them a focus and a distraction from anti-social behaviour
    • Working in primary schools to develop football skills

Charity work is mainly funded from grant applications. It has also benefited from fund raising activities.
